Swars Prairie Baptist Church of Seneca

Worship
Swars Prairie Baptist Church of Seneca
(Seneca, Missouri)

This rural church needed to build a new worship space as they faced a growing congregation.  They wished to maintain the look and feel of a small country church, and realized tremendous cost savings with the use of volunteer Christian builders.  The use of metal exterior siding helped to keep the architectural look the church desired while providing a durable material that would require less maintenance over time.  The new bell-tower has an actual working bell that is original to the church.  The bell is rung by hand with a pull-rope each Sunday morning to call church members to worship.  This bell-tower, combined with the elegant steeple design, gives the church a traditional architectural style that the congregation was striving to achieve.

The project was designed while working with another firm.
