Muskogee Civic Center

Muskogee Civic Center
(Muskogee, Oklahoma)

The City of Muskogee was considering a major development with the addition of a hotel and convention center and contacted Russell Architects to be their architect.  The City decided to begin the first phase of their development by renovating their existing 66,500 SF civic center adjacent to the hotel site.

We initially helped the City with a “needs-analysis” of their existing facility, and prepared an estimated project budget to help the City allocate the necessary funds.  We then developed construction documents for the first phase, which included:  new electrical and hvac systems, new finishes and seating in the arena and stage, new finishes in the main gallery and connecting hallways, new finishes in the meeting rooms and offices, new fixtures and finishes in the locker rooms, new equipment and finishes in the kitchen, new exterior paint and lighting, and a new entry area (seen in the architectural rendering).
