Glendale Christian Church of Springfield

When this church decided to relocate to a new site, they asked us to develop their master plan.  We were then asked to develop construction documents for phase one of the master plan.  This first phase included their most immediate need, a multi-purpose facility, that could be used for worship, recreation, fellowship, education, gathering, and office/administration.

To help reduce square footage and thus construction costs, we looked carefully at how various spaces could be utilized for multiple functions.  The result is a facility that meets the current needs of relocation with the adaptability for growth and future phases of construction.

One example of the versatility of this facility’s design can be seen in the church’s ability to use it as a K-12 Christian school (Gloria Deo Academy) during the week, and as a fully functional worship facility on the weekends.
