The existing Dora K-12 School was completely destroyed by fire in January of 1998.  The first phase of the project was a 13,650 square foot gymnasium consisting of basketball/volleyball floor with seating for approximately 500.  The gymnasium also included an upper mezzanine.  The second phase consisted of a 28,000 square foot K-12 School Building.  Classrooms consisted of Science, Home Economics, Business, Math, Art, and General Purpose classrooms.  The facility also included administrative offices.  Construction for both facilities consisted of exterior split face concrete block with interior concrete block walls.  The HVAC system was a ground source water system.
